"Looking Up" by Max Doran
The trees so high that bend left
to right, the branches that spread high
up, the snow that lays on their branches, so heavy,
but restless nonetheless, a blizzard or two, but no matter--
the conditions of nature. I shall still stand high and tall, I have
many others surrounding me, different in each and every one of their ways,
no one tree is as straight as a ruler, but intact and whole; that is all that matters really.
