Television Review: "Sherlock" By Erica Edgar
Sherlock is a popular TV show which you can find on Netflix. Sherlock is a very brilliant detective who loves to solve crimes, especially murders. He is, however, very antisocial and likes to keep his feelings buried deep down inside. He can be at times, very insulting to other people, and he isn’t bothered by hurting their feelings. He is a private detective who solves crimes just by observing. He lives at 221B Baker street with his best friend John Watson, who also helps him solve crimes.
Sherlock is mainly used as a backup if the police can’t figure out what happened, but Sherlock loves to get himself involved without being asked. He usually figures things out before the police or any other organization can even begin to find a possibly as to what could have happened. However, since Sherlock gets himself involved, that makes him and John Watson targets, usually getting them in trouble and having their lives in danger.
He is a master at making deductions, and he is also very good at playing the violin. He is always up for a case, until things change for better or for worse.
This is one of my personal favorite shows, but hey, other people have different opinions. If you want to watch this show, it is rated TV 14, but because of violence, profanity, and drug references. There might be other reasons why it’s rated what it is, so I would clear it with your parents and or guardians first.
Each episode is usually around one and a half hours long, and it has 4 seasons, but there are only three episodes in each season. The actor who plays Sherlock is named Benedict Cumberbatch, who is also part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and plays the character Doctor Strange. Sherlock's best friend, John Watson, is played by Martin Freeman, who has a very small part in the MCU as Everett Ross. Martin Freeman is also the title character in the Hobbit movies. If you like this and seem interested in Sherlock Holmes, I think you might enjoy the show.
