With the highly awaited Marvel’s Spider-Man (PS4) sequel’s trailer coming out, there are things in the trailer that show the game is going to  be a great sequel to its highly praised predecessor. Here’s why I think it will be a success. 

First, the new highly awaited characters. Characters like Kraven The Hunter and Venom have been heard and seen in the new trailer, and these villains are big for the game because people have been awaiting Venom since the last game.  And Kraven is a face we haven’t seen since 2014 in a Spider-Man video game, and adding a new, refreshing, and great villain will be great for the video game and will be very entertaining. 

Also a feature that might be integrated into the game is co-op, where you can play as Miles Morales and Peter Parker as teammates with other people, which will also be refreshing and new. This also might come with some new co-op gameplay as shown in the trailer with new team finishers, moves, or maybe even team boss fights. One thing that was praised in the original game was the gameplay and the swinging, so if they keep that the same from the first game, they should be ok going into the second game. 

Also I think this game will have a good story. In the last game, the story was phenomenal and it left some space for the sequel to fill in for the story, and I am excited to see what they add and how they continue the story. I am also open and excited to new things like new villains, side missions, gadgets, and gameplay. 

Overall, I honestly think this game will do well. If they keep up all the good things that made the first game good with some twists and add some new refreshing things (which they are), and if they add some things to the already great story to make it a perfect story, then I think this game could possibly even be Game Of The Year in 2023.
