The Los Angeles Chargers are 4-3 on the season right now heading into week nine. They face The San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara. But, that's not what we're going to be talking about today. Today we are talking about: Are the Chargers real Super Bowl Contenders?
I think they are.
They have great talent all across the board, Justin Herbert at QB, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams at wide receiver, and newly acquired Khalil Mack and Derwin James holding down the defense.
With a roster like the Chargers have there is no reason why they should have lost those three games.
And get this, They Lost ALL of their preseason games! That should not be happening to a team with this much young talent.
Individual players such as Justin Herbert, Austin Eleker and Khalil Mack. But the team as a whole is underperforming.
Their star wide receiver Keenan Allen has only 6 receptions for only 77 yards. If they want to have a chance to compete for the Lombardi Trophy, they have to come together and play good, clean football as a team. The Chargers are expected to win 6 of 10 regular season games left. So if things go to plan they should be the seven seed in the AFC playoff.
But the big question is: Are the Los Angeles Chargers real contenders?
In my opinion they can be if they pull their act together and work like a team on both sides of the ball, I think sure, why not? They have the talent and the players to do so. The players who are underperforming can step it up and be leaders for the team that desperately needs someone to take the role as commander and steer the ship in the right direction.
