Championship Weekend

It’s time for all you college football fans, it’s time for the college football championship! This year features SEC’s very own Georgia (no surprise)! Then the big surprise was TCU of the Big 12.

First, let’s go over the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia is a team that was just barely squeezed by Ohio State, and had a close game to Missouri. Other than that, Georgia had really gone untested. Georgia has spent almost every single week at #1 (except the week after Missouri) Georgia has really not been beaten and is incredibly good, but for right now let’s take a look at TCU.

TCU, or Texas Christian University. The Horned Frogs have had an impressive underdog season, unlike Georgia who has always been in a playoff position, TCU started the season unranked! TCU has beaten everyone in the regular season. I originally thought TCU didn’t belong, but with a win over Michigan I’ve been proven wrong. Guess what, TCU was rewarded with an expected 13 point loss to Georgia in other words they were 13 point underdogs. TCU has had lots of games that have been decided in the first quarter and are clearly really good all around, but can they beat Georgia?

My answer to that question is no they can not beat Georgia. I think Georgia will beat them by about two scores. In the end TCU got absolutely destroyed. If they were the 2nd best team in the nation they certainly didn’t show, now I’m starting to think a 13 point deficit is a little generous when you lose by 58 points.
