Penn State - Ohio State Preview by Marshall Laskowski

This Saturday, Penn State Nittany Lions will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus,Ohio. This should be one of the best matchups in recent years between the teams because both of the teams are ranked in the top ten. This game will have a huge impact on both of their regular seasons, and will most likely determine if either team will make the College Football Playoff. College Gameday (which usually goes to the biggest game of the week), will be headed to this matchup.

Penn State is currently ranked seventh and Ohio State is currently ranked third in the Associated Press poll. In the matchup all-time, Ohio State leads the series 24-13. I will give a review of both teams so far and their best players. First, I will preview Ohio State.

Ohio State has been a powerhouse of the past decade and has finished top ten in the AP poll every year since 2014. They are led by quarterback Kyle McCord who has 1,651 passing yards in 6 games. Their leading rusher is TreVeyon Henderson who has 295 rushing yards in 6 games. Their best player and leading receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. who has 604 yards in 6 games. They have an all around strong team and have the talent advantage in this game.

Next, I will preview the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Nittany Lions have been solid over the past years finishing in the rankings 5 times in the last 7 years. Penn State is led by young quarterback Drew Allar who has 1,254 passing yards. Their leading rusher is Kaytron Allen with 375 yards on the ground. The receiving leader for the Nittany Lions is KeAndre Lambert-Smith who has 402 yards receiving. This is Penn State's most promising season in years, but it mostly depends on this game.

This is bound to be a showdown because these teams tend to have amazing games. I am very much looking forward to this game and think we are in for a treat this weekend in this high stakes contest.
