This weekend Penn State will be taking on the Maryland Terrapins in College Park, Maryland. Penn State is ranked 9th nationally with a 7-1 record. Maryland is 5-3 with a 2-3 record in the Big Ten Conference. Penn State's only loss came to Ohio State where they lost 20-12. The Terrapins losses came to Ohio State (37-17), Illinois (27-24), and Northwestern (33-27).

Maryland is led by Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa who has 2,200 passing yards. The Terps leading rusher is Roman Hemby with 441 yards. The Terps leading receiver is Jeshaun Jones with 496 yards. Maryland has been pretty solid over the past five years making a bowl game twice. But, they have always been stuck behind Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan in the Big Ten East.

Penn State is led by young QB Drew Allar who has thrown for a total 1,655 yards this season.  KeAndre Lambert-Smith is the lead receiver (550 receiving yards), and Kaytron Allen is the rushing leader with 482 yards on the ground. This is a must win for the Nittany Lions to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive and the rest of their games really are must wins. But it will be tough going to Maryland and getting a win in a hostile environment.

Both teams are looking to keep good seasons going with wins but Penn State certainly needs the win more.
