Kevin Durant was traded to the Suns on February 9th 2023. This trade was a bit unexpected as the Nets said that they were going to hold onto Kevin Durant. The trade package included the Nets receiving Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Jae Crowder, as well as four unprotected first round picks and of course… the Nets sending Durant and T.J. Warren to the Suns.

This trade will affect both teams. The Nets are looking like they are going into a rebuild phase as they have dealt both Durant, and Kyrie Irving in the past week. The Nets are fifth in the East with a 32-22 record. As for the Suns they are greatly affected as they will have Durant to pair with Devin Booker and Chris Paul. The Suns record is 30-26 and they sit fifth in the west. This was a blockbuster deal to wrap up the busy NBA trade deadline.
