Shohei Ohtani's Amazing MLB Season by Miles Laskowski
Shohei Ohtani last week just became the first ever player to have a 50 home run and 50 stolen base season. And he may have had the greatest game of all time on September 19th against the Miami Marlins…going 6 for 6 with 3 home runs 2 doubles and a single and 10 RBIs (Runs Batted In). He also had 2 stolen bases.
He is widely considered the next Babe Ruth, because not only is Ohtani a gifted hitter, but he pitches. He will not return to the mound until 2025 as he recovers from elbow surgery, but if he was pitching he would easily be having the greatest season of all time.
But just by hitting, he is having an amazing season. Currently, he has 53 home runs and 55 stolen bases, something nobody has done in baseball history. He had an average of .301 and an OPS (On Base Percentage plus Slugging) of 1.023 which is second in the league to Aaron Judge. Ohtani’s 123 RBIs is also second in the league to Aaron Judge. Ohtani has 184 hits, which is fifth in the MLB.
Shohei Othani is having an amazing season. But it is not the best ever for him; we may see even better in his career. And he is still going to keep breaking records and setting new marks for the MLB.
