Since we have now entered fall, I’ve decided to give all the bakers some cool festive treats. Most people think of apple, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice.
Treat Title:
Marshmallow Treats

Ingredients Needed:
¼ c. of butter
4 c. of mini marshmallows
5 c. of crisp rice cereal
Directions:
Melt the butter in a pot over low heat.
Add in marshmallow and stir until blended together.
Add in cereal, stir until coated in the butter, marshmallow mixture.
Use a buttered spatula to scrap out mixture into a 13 x 9 pan.
Cool.
Cut in desired squares.
(You can form them into pumpkins and dye orange and add a stem with a vine coming out.)

Caramel Apples

Serves 6
Ingredients Needed:
6 apples
1 (14 oz.) package of individually wrapped caramels
2 tablespoons of milk
Directions:
Remove stems from apples. Stick candy sticks in the top. Butter baking sheet(s).
Place caramels and milk in a microwave safe bowl. Pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Let cool slightly.
Roll apples in caramel, make sure they are well-coated and let set.

Pumpkin Bread IV

This serves 36.
Ingredients Needed:
3 c. of canned pumpkin puree
1 ½ c. of vegetable oil
4 c. of sugar
6 eggs
4 ¾ c. of all purpose flour
1 ½ tsp. of baking powder
1 ½ tsp. of baking soda
1 ½ tsp. of salt
1 ½ tsp. of ground cinnamon
1 ½ tsp. of ground nutmeg
1 ½ tsp. of ground cloves
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 3, 9x5 inch loaf pans.
In a large bowl make together pumpkin, oil, sugar and eggs. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; stir into pumpkin mixture until well blended. Divide batter evenly into prepared pans.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Top of loaf should spring back when pressed lightly.
