Cardistry By Diddi Ragan

Cardistry is the “art of flourishing cards”, basically it is doing card tricks. Fun fact: a deck of cards can be shuffled 80000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ways; that’s 67 zeroes! You can shuffle a deck every second since the the estimated time the “Big Bang” happened (1024seconds - that’ a septillion’s worth of seconds!), and still not repeat a combination.

The origin of cardistry is “card” and “artistry”. It is considered a form of filmable art and is enjoyed by anyone who can get their hands on a deck, which are pretty common. Cardistry originated in magic and was considered a filler in a show.

It dates back to the 19th century and even Houdini before he became famous, dabbled in it earning the nickname of the “King of Cards”. It has gained popularity since then because of its fast pace and easily flammable nature, and it has been fueled by social media so much so that Hollywood has made a movie Now You See Me 2, the sequel to Now You See Me.

I highly suggest you look into it more.  Taking the basic, common deck of cards and turning it into something amazing is something that can be shared easily over sites such as Youtube or Instagram.
