Christmas of 1642: Isaac Newton was born.
Sir Isaac Newton, English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, theologian, and author widely recognised as one of the greatest physicists of all time, was born sick on Christmas day. When he was three years old, his mother remarried and moved away, leaving Isaac in the care of his grandmother.
