Several former Facebook employees revealed that Facebook was manipulating the “Trending” sidebar so that conservative posts would not be noticed, instead showing liberal posts.

Facebook denied the accusations, claiming that they have found no evidence that it was true. They stated that Facebook was supportive of opinions “across the political spectrum.”

Lean Wolf of RedState was skeptical of the accusations, stating that Facebook has never been targeted for any bias.

The Republican National Committee's chairman, Reince Priebus, states that it is highly disturbing that Facebook would use their power to suppress certain opinions to match their own bias.
