I don’t know if it’s just me but I think Valentine’s Day is an overlooked holiday. Like it’s there and then it’s gone. Is there anything else to it other than love? Well, here are some fun facts about Valentine’s day.

  • Teachers are the number one receiver of Valentines

  • Paris was the first place to celebrate Valentine’s Day

  • 145 million cards are exchanged every year for Valentines Day

  • Over 1 billion dollars worth of chocolate is sold every year for Valentine’s Day

  • Over 8 billion candy hearts are made every year

  • The heart shape didn’t used to be a symbol of romanticness

  • The first Valentine was sent in the 15th century

  • 250 million roses are grown just for Valentines Day alone

Those are just a few of the fun facts that I thought were cool. Even though this isn’t technically about Valentine’s Day it correlates. Did you know that chocolate used to be the prescription for a broken heart? I didn’t. I hope everyone has a good Valentine’s Day!
