Alexaphones by Marcus Henry

I am quite sure that you have heard of Alexa’s habit of constantly eavesdropping on your conversation. Not without good reason, of course. Alexa has to always be listening so it can hear when you have a question, right? There’s no other way...or is there? Meet Alexaphones. These are old-style phones outfitted with an Echo Dot. Apparently, the Alexa function kicks in when you lift the receiver. Then, you can ask Alexa to play music or whatever it is your heart desires. The company manufacturing these phones, Grain Design, is currently sold out, but you can buy these phones for about $1,500 and to place a reservation, another $200. Is it worth that much for an Alexa that doesn’t eavesdrop? That’s up to you to decide.
