Surviving 6th Grade by Rachel Wisner

It can be hard on 6th graders, new school, new friends, new teachers, and unfortunately more work. But here are some ways to make the rest of your year awesome!

First things first: don’t give into peer pressure. I know it can seem like the right thing to do in the moment but if you ever get into a situation where people are pressuring you to do something you feel isn't right, chances are you probably shouldn’t be doing it then.

Secondly you should always be yourself. If you have new friends that don’t like who you are just simply relax and be yourself. If your new friends don’t like who you are then don’t change for them just keep being yourself and your real friends will find you. If you’re reading this then you might be thinking, “How do I get my friends to like me for me?” Well I don’t have all the answers, but I do believe that everything can be solved in time. So just give it sometime and eventually everything will figure itself out.

Third, don’t do your homework really fast, or not do it, just so you can hang out with your friends, you can still hang out with your friends if you do the homework together. It doesn’t sound fun but it is.

Fourth, just have fun, you don’t know how simple it really is. Just have fun!
