Uggs, Did You Know? by Renee James

A lot of girls between the ages of 10 and 25 wear Uggs. It’s a solid, well known fact. However, the problem here is that they do not know about the process of making them. Many UGG wearers aren’t aware of the fact that thousands of animals have been killed in order to make these soft, comfy boots.

Truth be told, I used to wear them, too, until I knew how terrible the boot making process is. Sheep are slaughtered heartlessly, without painkillers or any other form of medication after being beaten and crammed into large trucks. What’s worse is that some people are fully aware of the brutality that occurs during the process of UGG manufacturing and still wear UGGS. Some do it because they honestly don’t care, and others do it because they feel left out when everyone else is still wearing UGGS. They just want to fit in. Which is okay, but when you really look at it, are these boots worth all this cruelty?
