MathCounts Chapter Competition by Kyle Hynes and Kueyoung Kim

Mathcounts is a prestigious middle school competition consisting of advanced mathematics and problem solving topics

Mathcounts is a national math competition for middle school consisting of four competition a school competition, a chapter competition, a state competition, and a national competition. Each competition consists of a sprint round, a target round, and a countdown round. The sprint round has 30 problems in 40 minutes, with the problems becoming harder further into the round. The target round has four sets of two hard questions, with six minutes for each set. The countdown round takes the top 10, with the competitors going head to head and solving a question in 45 seconds. Each level of competition is extremely competitive and fun.

This year’s Park Forest School Round MathCounts School Competition went very well for the competitors. Here are the rankings at School Competition before Countdown, the final part of the competition:
