Dinosaur Tail Discovered in Amber by Marcus Henry

According to a recent BBC news article, a feathered dinosaur tail has been found preserved in amber from north-eastern Myanmar. During studies, it is thought that it is brown on the top and white on the bottom side. According to Ryan McKellar, who works at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Canada, "This is the first time we've found dinosaur material preserved in amber.” Lida Xing discovered the fossil at an amber market in Myitkina, Myanmar. The fossil is thought to be 99,000,000 years old. The amber was already polished for sale. Xing was able to find where it came from by finding the miner who got it. Dr. McKellar said according to its anatomy, it was definitely a feathered dinosaur and not an ancient bird.
