From April 11th through the 14th, the students in State College Area School District took their first round of PSSA testing for the year. The students at Park Forest Middle School took their English and Language Arts (ELA) tests. They took four tests for this subject. The kids had mixed thoughts about the test.
Some kids liked it, and some kids didn’t. Hannah Donnell, a student in 8th grade at PFMS, thought that they weren’t very hard. They were just very long. They give you 1 hour and 45 minutes to take each section of the test.
Mr. Cunningham, a teacher said, “There were no surprises on this test; everything I saw were things that we worked on in class throughout the year.”
Personally, I thought that the students were prepared for everything that was on the test as long as they were paying attention in their classes. I think that the tests went very smoothly, and I didn’t get stuck on any question. I like that this year we only had one test per day instead of having two. It made things feel like they were flying by.
