Lunch Pods by Sierra Fix and Waverly Huang

PFMS has installed some new lunch time rules. So far, lots of people are unhappy about this, especially the pods for lunch. Our 8th grade president Sylus W. Smith has made a petition to help stop these lunch pods. So far, the petition has gotten over 100 signatures, from eighth grade only!

So what are the pods, you ask?  The lunch pods are something that have been installed this year. Although we don’t know the real reason the lunch pods are a thing, we believe they were installed to help prevent lines, and to help stop the problem with everyone walking around during lunch.

Lunch is only 30 minutes long. With the pods, you end up only having around 10 - 20 minutes maximum. Let us explain. You start with 30 minutes for lunch. It takes around 5 minutes to get everyone seated, and to call all of the pods, so afterwards, you only have 25 minutes.

Usually lunch is a time where you can meet up with your off-team friends. Since this is mostly true for everyone, than we spend a lot of time talking with our lunch table. This means we have less than 25 minutes to eat, since we spend some of lunch chatting. People also eat at different paces, and this means they either have to rush to finish their food or students just end up throwing away their food.
