Pure Plastic by Jack Puts

May 16, 2025

Some people like enjoying nature, maybe go to the beach, swim in the ocean, or enjoy a nice walk through the woods. You’re taking a swim in the ocean, but then you notice that you’ve found out that the fish that you're looking at isn’t a fish, it's actually a candy wrapper, or the shiny rock that you just found is a water bottle!

That scenario is in fact possible because according to, “What Happens to Plastic in the Ocean | The Mystery of Missing Plastic | ENDEVR Documentary” on Youtube.com there is a possible MOUNTAIN of plastic increasing over time. And according to Google.com  by 2050 the plastic in the ocean will outweigh all of the fish in the ocean. Fish could also attempt to eat the ocean’s plastic, killing many fish that way similar to how the endangered species known as the Sea Turtles sometimes consume plastic bags which they mistake for their common prey, jellyfish. Also according to Google.com, “Litter, improperly discarded waste, significantly harms the environment by causing pollution, harming wildlife, and impacting public health. It can contaminate soil, water, and air, and negatively affect ecosystems and the overall quality of life.” This shows that plastic plastic in the ocean and in other environments can be very harmful and even dangerous. So remember to not litter!
