Penn State Women's Soccer Takes Out Northwestern by Hely Parmar

The Penn State Women’s Soccer team won yesterday, Sunday October 4th. They won against the Northwestern Wildcats, 3-0. Better luck next time, Wildcats!

 

In the first half, PSU scored 2 goals by Mallory Weber and Emily Ogle. Northwestern hadn’t scored any goals in the first or second half. Raquel Rodriguez scored PSU’s final goal in the second half. Eight seconds after Rodriguez scored the goal, Britt Eckerstrom made the first save in the match.

Also in the second match, Nandi Mehta went for a goal, but that’s when senior goalie Eckerstrom made her final save in this match. The Wildcats attempted to make another shot, but it got blocked by PSU defenders. The next game is a home game, at Jeffrey Field, against Maryland at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 8th.
