Districts was the last meet of Track and Field for the season. Districts is a track meet, but it’s a lot more competitive than a regular meet. There are 26 teams that come to compete. And over 40 people in each event. To go to districts you have to qualify by getting a certain time or in field a certain distance. Great job to all of the girls who participated!
State College did really well and scored an overall fourth place. On top of State College’s fourth place, many girls placed in their individual events.
Starting off the meet was the 4x800 meter relay, they earned a 4th place finish (runners included Emma Simon, Elly Haushalter, Jordan Terrizzi, and Emma Maras.) Then Lyndsey Reed scored 8th in the 100 meter dash. In the 4x100 meter relay, they scored 5th (runners included Reagan, Kelly, Reed, and Lee.) After that was the 200 meter dash, which Colleen Kelly got 7th in. Then in the 3200 meter run (the two mile) Jane Biddle got 5th place. In the 4x400 meter relay, they scored 4th place (runners included Elly Haushalter, Colleen Kelly, Joy Zhu, and Rachel Sillimon). In field Denaya Poston got 4th in the shot-put. Also in field Lyndsey Reed got 2nd in the pole vault.
