La'Veon Bell Departs Steelers by Roman Corl

For Pittsburgh Steelers fans, you know Le’Veon Bell has pretty much quit the team by not signing his franchise tag. But recently, a man by the name of Lorenzo Reyes from USA Today interviewed Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and he says that he texted Bell saying that he hoped that he showed up, but if he didn’t, he would wish him the best. Bell never responded.

With Bell gone, the Pittsburgh Steelers have still been a good team. Even though he was a very talented player who had an epic performance in a snowy game in 2016, his backup James Conner is not to far behind him. However, Conner has had health issues in the past. He did beat cancer and is still currently in concussion protocol, but until his concussion was playing extremely well for the Steelers.

So why did Le’Veon give up on his career in Pittsburgh? The simple answer is Le’Veon just wants money. He wants to be paid as No. 1 RB and a No. 2 WR. However, he won’t be. He is pretty much stuck with the franchise tag after he and the Steelers were unable to work out a long-term deal. Now Pittsburgh and the New York Jets are working out a deal, and if you know the Jets, they love when a high-profile player becomes available.
