Garnet Carter created mini golf in 1916. There are 18 holes in a mini golf game, which typically takes about 30 - 45 minutes to complete one course.
Here are the rules of mini-golf:
1. The competitor who completes the round or rounds in the fewest strokes is the winner.
2. There is a 5-stroke limit per hole.
3. There is a one-stroke penalty if the ball jumps from the fairway – And you play the next shot from spot where ball jumped fairway. If the ball is snagged in an obstacle – you can free the ball and play from that spot, not nearer the hole.
4. The ball may be moved 6 inches from a rail or hazard without penalty.
5. After all the golfers reach the putting green, the one nearest the hole will putt first and continue to putt until ball gets in to the hole.
So now that you know the rules, you can play mini-golf. Give it a try, because it’s fun!
