The first World Series game starts on Friday, October, 28th, 2022 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
The Houston Astros are heavily favored to win over the Philadelphia Phillies, even though the Phillies easily beat all the opponents they faced in the playoffs. The Phillies have not been in the World Series since 2009 where they lost to the New York Yankees in 6 games.
The Astros were just in the World series last year, where they lost to the Atlanta Braves in 6 games. The World Series will last until Saturday, November 5th if they play the whole seven games. If the Astros win, this is the first world series they would have won since the cheating scandal in 2018 that left the organization in shambles.
In game one Aaron Nola will be the starter for the Phillies. The starter for the Astros will be their ace Justin Verlander. When it hits Game 3, it will switch to Philadelphia for game 3, 4 and 5. Then back to Houston for games 6 and 7. But all in all, this will be a great series with lots of action and big home runs.
