The Commanders have arguably the best upset of the year as they beat what people were saying was the best team in the NFL with and best start to franchise history with an 8-0 start to the season. But the Commanders spoiled that and handed them their first loss of the season and a disaster game for the Eagles and an amazing game for the Commanders.
The Commanders came into this game with nobody thinking they were going to win, especially the way the Eagles were playing. The Commanders beat the Eagles 32-21, and Washington couldn’t have hoped for a better game. The Commanders offense was great even though their offense scored 26 points which is good against the Eagles defense. They controlled the offensive side of the ball eating up the clock and running for both of their touchdowns with both of their running backs Brian Robinson Jr. and Antonio Gibson. Both of the Washington running backs rushed for a combined 130 yards. The Commanders quarterback Tyler Heinike had 211 passing yards and one INT and zero touchdown passes. The Commanders leading receiver Terry Mclauren had a huge game with 128 receiving yards and had 100 more yards than the closest receiver to him, Curtis Samuel who had 28 receiving yards.
The Commanders defense played amazing with one INT and two fumbles that they recovered. They sacked Jalen Hurts once . They gave up two passing touchdowns but only gave up 175 passing yards. They also only gave up 94 combined rushing yards and one rushing touchdown by Jalen Hurts.
You have to give credit to the Washington Commanders kicker Joey Slye who was 4-4 and his long was 58 yards to give the Commanders a 20-14 lead at half time. He also had a 55 yard field goal later in the game.
