Well, the Phillies blew it, but who is and isn’t to blame? The people who aren’t to blame, well I would say Harper, Schwarber, and Wheeler. The reason why Harper isn’t to blame is because of how he hit six home runs, six doubles and 13 RBIs through 14 playoff games. Schwarber is not to blame because with 12 hits, 6 home runs, and 10 RBIs, and with stats like that it’s hard to argue that he was not a valuable part of this postseason. Last but not least Wheeler, though he might have lost the last game in the world series, he pitched 35.2 innings in the postseason, has a WHIP of 0.73, and has an earned run average of 2.78.

Now it’s the time you’ve been waiting for. Who really blew it? Rhys Hoskins, J.T. Realmuto, and Jose Alvarado. The reason why Rhys blew it is the fact that he has been known to be one of the best hitters on the Phillies, but with an average of 120. and a slugging of 240. it really isn’t cutting it. J.T. Realmuto has an average of 167. and with a decent slugging of 333. He just isn’t putting the ball in play enough. Last, but not least Jose Alvarado. This is the man who let the Astros hit the winning homerun. The man who last season had more blown saves then some teams have had in a whole year. With a postseason ERA of 5.56. This man really let the Phillies down.

Again, these are just my opinions, but someone had to blow it.
