NFL Playoff Preview by Andrew Zajac

January 11, 2023

The NFL playoffs will start on Saturday, January 14, 2023 and will end on SuperBowl Sunday February 12, 2023.

The Wild Card round will be in my opinion the most action-filled and exciting round of the playoffs. On Saturday the 14th, there will be a doubleheader with the seventh seeded SeattleSeahawks vs the second ranked San Francisco 49ers. These teams are divisional rivals and have played each other twice this season with San Francisco winning both games. This game will be played in San Francisco, so the 49ers will have home-field advantage. My prediction is the 49ers will beat the Seahawks 35 to 20. The other game on Saturday is the fifth ranked Los Angeles Chargers vs the fourth ranked  Jacksonville Jaguars. This will be a very close game with the fifth ranked vs the fourth ranked teams in the AFC. It will be held in Jacksonville, but I think that the Chargers will come in there ready to play and shock the world and beat the Jaguars by a score 24-17.

On Sunday the 15th Wild Card play continues with the seventh ranked Miami Dolphins vs second ranked Buffalo Bills. These divisional rivals played each other twice this season and split the series with the Fins winning the first one and the Bills taking the second one. The Dolphins did not perform well in the last half of the season and barely slipped into the playoffs.  It will be played in Buffalo with Bills Mafia going crazy and making it very difficult for the Dolphins to concentrate. I predict the Bills will be motivated to win for Damar Hamlin and pull out the win in a blowout 42 to 14. The final game on Sunday night will be the sixth ranked Baltimore Ravens vs the third ranked Cincinnati Bengals. These teams just played each other in week 18 with the Bengals pulling out on top 27-16. This will be in the Jungle in Cincinnati so the Who Dey nation will be roaring. My prediction is the Bengals will win 20-14.

My prediction for the Super Bowl is the Vikings vs Bills, and the Vikings will win 27-24.
