NASAs Landsat 9 space probe is set to launch on Monday, September 27, 2021. Landsat 9 is launching from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. It’s mission will be to continue over 50 years of landsat (land satellite) mapping out the Earth with a view better than before. With its Operational Land Imager 2, it will help NASA map out the land of the Earth to help see people's impact on Earth. The Landsat program has been rumored to be a spy program for the US Military but NASA has declined this and said it is to help the US stop climate change and help observe the growth of the cities. Based on its older sister Landsat 8 (Launched in 2013) Landsat 9 will be the next generation of spacecraft. NASA will start the launch coverage around 2:00 PM EST on September 27th. Launch will happen about an hour later at 3 p.m.
