Netflix Shows To Watch (for 11-12 year old girls) by Samantha Lozinski

Alexa and Katie

This is a tv series that will be your go to watch. It has four parts/seasons.(It’s rated TV-G.) This tv series is about Alexa and her best friend Katie. Alexa has cancer and tries to hide it. But when something happens to her hair, Katie is there for her, by being right by her side. You will see big moments and small moments, as Alexa and Katie navigate their way through high school. You will also see all of their first days of school. Also see their brothers. Best part? If you like the first part, you still have three more parts worth of Alexa and Katie.

The Baby-Sitters Club

This is also a series (That is rated TV-G). You might know that there are chapter books (a ton), graphic novels, and I think that there’s even a movie.  The series is based off of the books. The first season came out July 3rd, 2020. It’s about Kristy and her friends who start a babysitting club, and picks up some new members on the way through the first season. The idea came to Kristy when her mom can’t find a babysitter when she needs one, not wanting to interrupt Kristy's plan with one of the other characters, Mary Anne. I would like to just say that there's maybe a little bit of a mature subject in “Kristy's big day”, but eleven and up is still a good age to watch it. There is also just a little thing about transgender in “Mary Anne saves the day.” Also, if you liked the first part, then you will be thrilled to hear that a second part recently came out!

No Good Nick

When Nick shows up at the front door of a family's house, they are confused, but let her come in and sort out the mixup about why she is here. But, is that why she’s really here, or is she there for something else, such as payback? (Cue the suspenseful music). ( This is a tv series rated TV-PG.) There’s a character named “Molly” in the show, and she’s welcoming, but “Jermy”, the brother of Molly, is not so sure about her, and will try basically anything to find more stuff out about her. This show is a little different from the other two, because it does have some language.  But if you want something different from the other two, give this a shot.
