Mr. Ammerman Spotlight by Rebecca Kreiner and Paige Winscot

This is an interview on a 6th grade teacher here at PFMS. We asked Mr. Ammerman several questions on him and his teaching.

 

 

1. Park Forest Times (PF): How long have you taught at PFMS?

 

Mr. Ammerman (Mr. A): 10 years

 

2. PF: What made you want to be a teacher?

 

Mr. A: “My parents were both teachers and I saw that they both really liked it.”

 

3. PF: What is your favorite class to teach?

 

Mr. A: Reading and Math

 

4. PF: What do you like most in students?

 

Mr. A: “Just a kid who is nice, respectful. Just a good kid to be around.”

 

5. PF: Do you have any cool stories or teaching experiences?

 

Mr. A: “Not really. Just when funny things that happen throughout the year.”

 

6. PF: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

 

Mr. A: “Fun, nice and friendly.”

 

7. PF: What is your favorite food?

 

Mr. A: Pizza

 

8. PF: What are some interesting things about you?

 

Mr. A: “I like to hang out with family, friends and be outside.”

 

9. PF: How many states have you been to?

 

Mr. A: 16 states
