She watched as it happened.
The water poured from her mouth,
Emptying the words she was too anxious to scream out.
Reeling from the shock, she tried to gulp it all down.
Gags and chokes flew from the mouth.
She tumbled over as the water mixed with the words,
As her mind buzzed, why now?
Tears trimmed her eyes, as they noticed the commotion.
But their devotion glittered as they dimmed the faith of empathy.
She consumed the ocean,
Allowing the liquid to drown her into the deep.
It flowed through her being, the affections ablazed.
She knew this wasn’t something she could hold down,
And with the trembles that shimmed
up her legs
to her spine
she knew she had run out of time.
For they had built a dam, it blocking out the preposterous words.
Everything left inside of her was trapped,
And as they struggled to get her back out,
She realized, that she hadn’t been losing her voice-
It had been ripped away from her.
