Poem: A Silly Chore by Delaney Dixon

A Silly Chore

I clean a dish

Then two,

Then four,

Then stop myself and ask what for?

Why do such a silly chore

When I could do so much more?

I clean a dish

Then two,

Then four,

Then stop because I know what for.

This may seem like a silly chore

But really it is so much more.

My parents that do work so hard,

Give me warmth and love,

So when I clean this dish and more,

It is really not a silly chore,

It’s giving them a helping hand,

For giving me a

Home.
