Top Ten Things To Do In the Summer By Makayla Hummel

April 8, 2025

10. Make a fruit salad - You should make a fruit salad because not only is it nutritious, it is also very refreshing for the summer time weather.

9. Start a new hobby - Starting a new hobby is exciting but you can find new friends and if you end up liking it, you could do it as a job.

8. Go get an ice cream - Ice cream is very refreshing and a classic summertime snack. If you're allergic to dairy, then sorbet is a great option.

7. Go camping - Camping is fun if you’re not afraid of bugs and stuff but speaking from experiences, you should probably bring a bunch of bug spray and sunscreen.

6. Go fishing - Fishing is really fun because when you catch a fish, the amount of excitement is enough to last you a lifetime.

5. Watch fireworks - Usually fireworks happen on the 4th of July which is in the summer (For Americans) Fireworks are really chill and exciting but if you don’t like noise, then I suggest you shouldn’t try.

4. Go to a drive-in movie theater - Drive-in movie theaters are really great because unlike an indoor movie theater, you can bring your own snacks. If you don’t have snacks, they usually have a concession stand.

3. Go to an amusement park - Amusement parks are filled with exciting and new stuff for you to try. Most amusement parks I know have a water park.

2. Go to a swimming pool - Swimming pools are fun especially if it’s raining because it adds to the flavor of fun.

1. Go to a beach - Beaches are fun but the sand isn’t. The waves are really exciting and if you're lucky, you’ll see a sea creature.

These are the top 10 things you should do in the summer.
