After Penn State’s upset win over then #2 Ohio State and a dominating win 62-24 over Purdue to close out October, Penn State’s season is starting to look good for the first time in a few years. Being 6-2 and ranked 20th in the country isn’t half bad, in my opinion. As an added bonus, the rest of their schedule is relatively manageable with games at home against Iowa and Michigan State and road games against a terrible Rutgers team and Indiana.
The games that are a little bit tougher are Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan State. Michigan State is normally a powerhouse, but they’re not even close to as good they usually are this year. Iowa is good, but they’re not as good as Penn State if both of the teams play well. Having home field advantage against the Hawkeyes and the Spartans bodes well for the Nittany Lions.
The game I’m most worried about is Indiana. Indiana isn’t a great team, but they have the home field advantage. I think Penn State should win this game, but an upset wouldn’t be out of the question.
