One Reason Why Your Team Won't Win the Super Bowl Part III by Hayden Shuey

Welcome to the second half of this list. I’m always grinding out these articles. Now, I hope this is something you guys enjoy this list. Let’s start this, shall we?

Jacksonville Jaguars: Blake Bortles.

This is a team that hasn’t won for a while. And they still won’t win because of the inconsistent and generally not good Blake Bortles. Kinda the Giants situation, but Blake is young and hasn’t played in the playoffs so…

New York Jets: AFC East.

Surprise start to the season, no doubt. 3-2 is great for the Jets. But, there’s only one team in the division who isn’t 3-2, and that’s the team that has only played 4 games. The Miami Dolphins. So, technically the division could be said to be tied. But let’s face it. Patriots always beat Jets, Dolphins can beat them easy, and Bills can also beat them. Take their record adding in those losses: 3-8. That might get 3rd in division if they were to win the rest of their games, which would even out to 8-8, but the AFC East is too good this year.

Detroit Lions: Just Average.

Their offensive ranks are just average, defense slightly above average. Average doesn’t win Super Bowls. Moving on.

Green Bay Packers: Defense.

The offense isn’t terrible. It’s ranked around top 12 status. But the defense isn’t that good. I think that’s a thing we can agree on. I could say this is why they’ll lose because of their defense, but also because the NFC is a lot tougher than the AFC. Yet another fact.

Carolina Panthers: NFC.

We were just talking about this with the Patriots. This team isn’t the greatest to begin with. They’re good, but I don’t feel they are Super Bowl contenders because they aren’t in the AFC. Technically I could say this for all NFC teams. But, this is especially true for the Panthers.

New England Patriots: Defense.

The offense is pretty good. In fact, top 3. But look at the defensive stats. TRASH, TRASH, AND MORE TRASH. Moving on.

Oakland Raiders: Both sides.

You see, the offense has been without Derek Carr. But still, E.J. Manuel isn’t that bad to have the 24th ranked offense and an average defense as best. Just not good.

Los Angeles Rams: Once again, defense.

Right now, their offense is basically a discount Patriots offense. And, the defense is better, but only by a few ranks. The team is in the same situation as the Patriots.

Phew. Fun fact, I’ll see you tomorrow!
