Mason Rudolph Injury by Noah Radio

Every week in the National Football League (NFL) brings injuries to players but one injury to Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph scared everyone who watched it live. In the third quarter of their game against the Ravens, safety Earl Thomas hit Rudolph very hard as he threw a 26-yard pass, and his head slammed into the turf and knocked him out cold with a concussion. Earl Thomas’ comment on the hit after the game was, “I was just trying to get to the ball and make a play for my team. I hit the strike zone, I didn’t go high. I didn’t try to intentionally hurt him. I’m worried about him. I heard he’s at the hospital and my prayers go out to him and his family.” He expressed his concern for Rudolph, but also defended the hit.

Rudolph was released from the hospital on Sunday night after being diagnosed with a concussion. There is no timetable for his return, and everyone should expect Devlin Hodges to be the starting quarterback for the Steelers game against the Chargers next Sunday and probably multiple weeks in the future.
