The NBA season is over halfway through so far, so I’m rating my best dunks of the year. (Next, top games of the year.) From angry posters to malicious tomahawks, here are my favorite slams…
Klay Thompson tomahawk jam vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
It's not like it’s the best dunk of all time, it’s just that Klay was playing in his first game in two and a half years, so it’s really special to see Klay dunk it so early in his return to the court.
Russell Westbrook posters Rudy Gobert
Russell Westbrook has had a frustrating season so far with shooting woes and constant criticism. So it seems he took out his anger on Gobert. Awsome.
Alex Caruso on P.J. Tucker
Alex Caruso also known as “ Alex Carushow” has some big hops, showing that with an and one dunk all over Tucker. Caruso has been thriving with the Bulls after some seasons with the Lakers.
Obi Toppin goes between the legs (Twice!)
Obi Toppin was known in college while playing with Dayton for his extreme hops and out of this world dunks, and he's done the same in NYC, with some nice dunks, including the two between the legs slams.
Ja Morant’s insane alley-oop
The reason Ja Morant was noticed by the NBA in a small college in Murray State was his insane jumping skills and athleticism. But catching an alley-oop when the lob is behind you is pretty hard.
Miles Bridges also unreal alley-oop
This dunk had the same concept, but it was even further behind Bridges than Morant. Yikes. Bridges has also had his fair share of dunks.
GREG BROWN between the legs?!
In truth, I don’t even know who this guy is. That made me even more surprised when he did that. Way to introduce yourself to myself.
Some Jaylen Brown posters won’t hurt..
The Celtics star is having a breakout season, and some higher hops, he dunked over Miles Bridges, who is one of the NBA’s best dunkers, and over Mo Bamba, who is a CENTER for the Magic. Sheesh.
John Colins Alley-Oops: The Oops was the defense letting that happen..
John Colins is a dunker. Every NBA fan knows that. He has SO MANY DUNKS I can’t include all of them. But my favorite was a poster dunk over Cleveland Cavaliers Center Jarrett Allen.
LeBron is NOT 37..
Lebron James has had some age defying dunks, including two reverse alley-oops and a two and reverse windmill. He has a few hundred years left in him.
