The Winter Olympics
As we speak, the winter Olympics are being held in Beijing, China. Athletes from around the world compete to win medals and their country’s glory. When the USA came into the Olympics, they had 305 medals total; 105 gold, 112 silver, and 88 bronze. This leaves them placed 2nd overall in the world, trailing only Norway with a count of 368 medals. In the Beijing Olympics, the USA has so far earned a total of 10 medals; 4 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze.
