Penn State Wins Rose Bowl Championship by Quinn Cunningham

The Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Utah Utes in the Rose Bowl by a score of 35-21. Penn State improved to 11-2 and Utah dropped to 10-4. 

Penn State’s offense was great against the good Utah defense. Sean Clifford, the Penn State quarterback, was 16/21 passing and threw for 279 yards and two touchdown passes and zero interceptions. The Penn State rushing game was amazing with their leading rusher Nick Singleton who had 120 rushing yards on seven carries. And two touchdown runs, one of 87 yards and a rushing average of 17.1 yards per carry. Penn State's leading receiver was KeAndre Lambert-Smith with 3 receptions for 124 yards receiving yards and one touchdown. He had an average of 41.3 yards per reception. The Penn State offense piled on the Utah defense with 279 total passing yards and 171 total rushing yards. 

The Penn State leading sacker was Curtis Jacobs with two sacks in the game. Penn State's leading interceptors were Ji’Ayir Brown and Kalen King who both had one interception. At the end of the game Penn State's defense had forced six sacks and two interceptions and allowed only 207 of total passing yards and gave up 184 total yards rushing.
