It’s official.
Any glimmer of hope that Donald J. Trump could possibly be stopped is now gone, as the state of Washington has nudged him over the line, only barely, to 1238 delegates and the nomination. Trump, who started off at 3% in the polls, is no longer the presumptive Republican nominee. He is the real nominee.
There will be no floor flight in 2016 to attempt to stop this anti-establishment “Republican”.
Trump lovers were certain of what would happen. Trump haters were still holding out hope.
Now Trump is focusing on Hillary Clinton and the November general election, and gearing up for a June debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Who were the choices one year ago?
Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio.
Now?
Donald J. Trump.
Congratulations, Republicans. Give yourselves a big pat on the back.
