A Year of No Sugar started with an awareness that turned into an idea, which turned into a blog, which turned into a lifestyle.
For Eve Schaub’s community in Vermont, sugar meant love. The best way to express love was with sugar.
But one day, Eve saw a very disturbing video. A forty-five minute lecture telling the truth about sugar. A wild idea came to her: what would happen if her family lived completely without sugar… for a full year?
And so came about A Year of No Sugar, the story of one person’s quest for change. Eve blogged every day, and her daughter faithfully kept a journal. From Vermont to New York to Italy, they spent a full year living without sugar. Was it hard? Yes. Was it frustrating? Yes.
Was it worth it?
